Job Overview
Are you an expert in digital preservation who would like to share your skills with the widest possible audience? Tate is looking for a committed, enthusiastic person to preserve and manage our digital resources and be an advocate for developing digital preservation expertise across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take ownership in promoting the understanding of digital preservation across the organisation.
2. Help in setting up and adopting appropriate standards.
3. Be an active member of the Digital Asset Management Steering Group that is shaping digital preservation within Tate.
4. Ensure that Tate’s digital resources are well-managed and accessible.
5. Develop action plans and review policies and strategies.
6. Create staff training programmes to ensure Tate systems accommodate all defined digital preservation metadata.
Qualifications
To succeed you’ll need an impressive track record of managing digital rich media resources, developing metadata schemes to support preservation, and training users. This includes good knowledge of preservation systems such as Archivematica or Preservica and knowledge of preservation metadata standards.
