This role will work as part of the wider Learning and Development team, with a focus on the development and delivery of learning programmes across the firm. There will be task delegation to, and support required of, the Learning and Development Assistant.
Working with the Head of Central L&D and the wider team on the overall delivery of learning and development to the firm. To take responsibility for specific projects within the team, both for specific departments and firm-wide. To be involved in consulting with areas of the business to discuss development needs and use technical skills to create appropriate solutions.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the Graduate soft skills programme from a structure and logistics perspective and understand the content to be able to communicate with graduates.
* Become proficient in the use of the learning management system (LMS) LCPLearn and IMC Express. Take responsibility for specialist areas on the LMS – eg Graduate training. Develop content and continue to consider process improvements.
* Build ongoing relationships with key contacts in the firm to provide an advisory, consulting service when required on training requirements.
* Be responsible for coordinating specific learning interventions, working with the Head of Central L&D, eg speaking clubs. Review these regularly and explore what changes/updates can be made.
* Take responsibility for specific training programmes, for example, new people manager training. Work with the Head of Central L&D and the wider business to explore how these can continue to develop. Work with the L&D Assistant as required to roll these out.
* Assist with LCP Xtra – logistics as well as actively interacting with delegates, judges, mentors, and those who are leading the programme.
* Delegate to and support the L&D Assistant where required, to ensure all offerings are joined up and resource is utilized effectively.
* Remain up to date on developments within LCP and externally and be open to new initiatives for the department.
* Embrace a variety of tasks and projects, adjusting to the evolving needs of LCP.
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
* Confidence and aptitude to build relationships across the firm with key people, and liaise, advise and consult with them.
* Technical aptitude with previous experience of an LMS or HRMS and good Excel skills.
* A willingness to continuously review how our approaches and processes can be developed and improved.
* Able to identify creative solutions and adopt a flexible approach to problem-solving to meet the needs of key stakeholders.
* A professional, positive “can-do” attitude and ability to take own initiative.
* An interest in how Learning & Development can add value to LCP.
* Able to work effectively in a team but also self-motivated to work autonomously.
* Well organized, able to follow processes and demonstrate attention to detail in work.
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient; able to cope under pressure and deal with fluctuating workload.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
