An opportunity has arisen to expand the MSK Advanced Therapist team at County Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist ready to step into this Advanced role, able to embrace the challenges and opportunities of working in an acute trust environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to deliver their assessments and treatments in Outpatients, as well as taking on an Advanced Therapist / Team Leader role on the County site. The individual will also provide support for the Elective Orthopaedic Unit.
The post holder will be encouraged to develop innovative ways of working and consolidate their leadership and management skills as well as building further clinical expertise that will enhance and broaden clinical abilities.
Supervision will be provided by Principal Therapists, continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning, and you will be supported through our in-house leadership training.
The outpatient therapy team works within a 7-day shift system including extended hours, weekends, and bank holidays for the inpatient elective service.

1. To work as a specialised practitioner managing the clinical delivery of care in a specialised area.
2. To lead the clinical team within your area and organise staff and resources to meet service standards and demands.
3. Patients may include acute post-surgical, multi-pathology/complex patients, cognitively and perceptually impaired.
4. To be responsible for the provision of specialist training to therapy staff and other members of the MDT.
5. Use analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret, analyse and evaluate complex information from a variety of sources.
6. To provide cover for other teams within the Therapy Service based on your knowledge, skills, and competencies in order to meet changing priorities and service demands.

Education & Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
* Registered with HCPC
* Evidence of personal & professional development
* Working towards a higher qualification relevant to speciality e.g. Master's degree
Experience
* Postgraduate experience (NHS) with considerable experience in speciality area
* Experience of working as a senior physiotherapist
* Experience of teaching students, staff & other professional groups
* Trained clinical educator
* Experience gained within an acute setting
* Experience of leading and managing a team
Skills, ability & knowledge
* Proven leadership and management skills
* Evidence of project work
Personal Qualities
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable
