Job Description – Warehouse and Logistics Operative

Overview:
Pardgroup specialises in the design, build, and installation of retail displays. Our fast-paced warehouse and logistics department is integral to delivering exceptional solutions for our clients across the UK and Europe. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse and Logistics Operative to support our operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Goods Handling: Receive, check, and organise inbound deliveries; accurately pick and pack items for dispatch.
* Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels, update inventory records, and conduct regular stock checks.
* Order Preparation: Prepare and stage materials for projects, ensuring accuracy and readiness for installation.
* Logistics Coordination: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods; coordinate deliveries with internal teams and third-party providers.
* Workshop Support: Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure materials and tools are available as required.
* Health & Safety: Adhere to company safety policies, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow safety procedures in all warehouse operations.
* Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, where required.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records for inventory, dispatch, and returns.
Person Specification:
* Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
* Skills: Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work on your feet for extended periods.
* Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a dynamic environment.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer literacy.
* Team Player: Collaborative, with a positive attitude and a commitment to supporting team goals.
Desirable:
* Valid forklift license.
* Experience in retail display or similar industries.
* Basic understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
