As a Senior Scientist, you will lead experimental work within the laboratory and apply your deep technical expertise to solve complex problems. You will drive innovation, improve products and services, and play a pivotal role in delivering successful projects. With minimal technical guidance, you will act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a technical expert, leading problem-solving initiatives across a range of laboratory and process activities.
2. Independently solve complex technical problems by utilizing your expertise and innovative thinking, while supporting others in deriving solutions.
3. Lead and supervise small teams, allocating tasks and monitoring progress on complex protocols.
4. Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety (H&S), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and role-specific training requirements.
5. Mentor junior scientists, providing guidance and acting as a role model within the laboratory.
6. Conduct detailed data analysis and interpretation, including advanced statistical techniques, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
7. Lead the development, validation, and reporting of technical projects, ensuring adherence to the organization's quality system.
8. Provide supervision and support for team members involved in GMP activities, ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
9. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (CI) within the team, implementing changes and providing feedback on broader impacts.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. In-depth knowledge and experience in your scientific discipline, with the ability to work independently and lead projects.
2. Proven track record of solving complex problems, utilizing both existing solutions and first-principles thinking.
3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Experience mentoring and supervising junior scientists, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
5. Expertise in data analysis and reporting, with a keen attention to detail and a deep understanding of quality standards.
6. Knowledge of GMP processes and experience ensuring compliance within laboratory settings.
