Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food safety, with a passion for team management and customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food production and service.
Duties
1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, ensuring efficient food production.
2. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
3. Assist in training new staff members on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and customer service expectations.
4. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
5. Foster a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork and effective communication among staff.
6. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to enhance guest satisfaction.
7. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support to help team members improve their skills.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
3. Proven experience in team management or supervising staff within a kitchen environment.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
7. Experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage service is advantageous but not mandatory.
