The Forest of Dean Community Schools Federation (Yorkley and Parkend Primary Schools) are looking for a part time teaching assistant initially at Yorkley School to join their Federation team after May half term. This position has come about due to an existing staff member changing roles.
The contract will be permanent, initially 17.5 hours (8.30 – 12.00, term time only) plus INSETS.

We seek applications from teaching assistants who:
1. Have knowledge and experience of working with children in the primary phase, ideally in upper KS2, however general TA's from EYFS or KS1 welcome, just list your skills and experience.
2. Demonstrate a commitment to raising standards.
3. Have a good knowledge and understanding of phonics, reading, writing and maths.
4. Have a passion for developing strategies that enable children to overcome barriers to learning in order to become successful learners.
5. Are well organised and energetic.
6. Are flexible, positive and enjoy working in busy school environments.
7. Can work under pressure and show resilience.
8. Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.
9. Are professional, have high expectations and support the goals and learning of all our pupils.
10. Understand and follow all safeguarding procedures.
