We’re seeking an organised, proactive, and client-focused Website Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of our website development projects. Based in our Preston office, you’ll be the linchpin between our clients, designers, developers, and marketing teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This isn’t just about ticking boxes—you’ll roll up your sleeves, dive into the details, and take ownership of every project’s success. If you love juggling multiple tasks, building strong relationships, and pushing the boundaries of what a website can achieve, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning: Define project scopes, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal teams. Create detailed project plans and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
2. Client Liaison: Work closely with the client services team to manage expectations and deliver high-quality work on time and within scope.
3. Team Coordination: Work closely with designers, developers, and content creators to assign tasks, monitor progress, and resolve blockers.
4. Hands-On Delivery: Jump in wherever needed to get the job done —whether that’s uploading content, sourcing imagery, or setting up tracking codes like Google Analytics or tag manager.
5. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, balancing workloads and ensuring the team has what they need to succeed.
6. Quality Assurance: Oversee testing and review stages to ensure websites meet technical, design, and functional standards before launch, while also implementing testing with the team to refine and perfect the final product.
7. Continuous Improvement: Constantly seek out new ideas to enhance client websites—whether it’s improving user experience, boosting performance, or adding innovative features—and champion these with the team.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks or delays early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
9. Documentation: Maintain clear records of project milestones, budgets, and client feedback using DigitalKOG’s project management tools.
10. Ownership & Success: Take full accountability for the success of each website, from launch performance to long-term impact, ensuring clients see real results.
Desired Skills & Experience
1. Project management experience, ideally in a digital agency or web development environment.
2. Strong understanding of website development processes (e.g., UX/UI design, front-end/back-end development, CMS platforms including WordPress).
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
5. Proficiency with project management tools.
6. Understanding of SEO, analytics and digital marketing principles (e.g. setting up tracking codes, redirects etc).
7. Familiarity with hosting, domain management, or website maintenance processes.
Personal Qualities
1. Organised and detail-oriented, with a knack for keeping everything running smoothly.
2. A natural problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and isn’t afraid to get hands-on.
3. Collaborative and team-spirited, with a positive attitude that inspires others.
4. Confident in managing client relationships and handling feedback constructively.
5. Curious and forward-thinking, always looking for ways to make things better and take ownership of outcomes.
Why should you join the DigitalKOG team
A continuously rewarding role
Our team members work incredibly hard and we like to reward them for that. So, on top of receiving a competitive salary, we’ll also treat you to a yearly bonus when you help us achieve our ambitions.
You will be given the freedom to shape the future direction of our agency. All ideas are welcomed and listened to as we know that our people drive our success and we want everyone to be a part of that.
An agency that is committed to our core values
We know that aligning personal and company values has a powerful impact on success, performance and fulfilment in the workplace. That’s why at the heart of our culture are our four core values:
1. Curiosity – We fuel our curiosity by deep diving into data insights, using our collective industry experience, applying lots of common sense and empowering the team to ask even the wildest What-ifs…
2. Collaboration – When we work together, the positive impact we have on our clients and each other markedly grows. The KOG team is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work, and we embrace our differences and celebrate what we achieve together.
3. Service With Purpose – Integrity, trust, respect, attention to detail, accountability and high quality sit at the heart of everything we do. We are focused on delivering useful marketing that has clear direction and consistently improves the value we offer our clients and the results they receive.
4. Improvement – Continuously learning about our trade, our clients and ourselves keeps our passion alive. We continue to evolve, seek new ideas, explore new ways of thinking and uncover new processes. It’s these enrichment initiatives that encourage self and team spirit development.
A great working environment
We have our own dedicated office space, where we love collaborating together, with lots of FREE private parking available.
The office is brilliantly located, close to the motorway for simple commuting, with a retail park just across the road – fancy a Burger King, Costa or Greggs for lunch?
Lots of social opportunities
DigitalKOG very much feels like a family and we all love getting out after work, whether it’s going to the local micropub or heading into town for a curry.
A generous holiday allocation
We know that agency life can be very fast-paced and how important it is for our team members to have time out from that to recharge the batteries. So, we offer 30 days’ holiday, PLUS bank holidays, including a total shutdown over the Christmas break – not many agencies can compete with that.
To help you get financially prepared for life after work, you will also be enrolled onto a competitive pension scheme.
Fantastic scope for personal development
We will be firmly committed to enhancing your personal and professional development, providing 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring programmes, team workshops and soft skills training, overseen by our resident Development Coach, Charlotte Haslam.
There will also be dedicated learning days as we take knowledge sharing seriously, with in-house training programmes, innovation days and opportunities to get involved in 3rd party training all available.
We’ll also support you in furthering your learning outside of work.
We promote employee wellbeing
Supporting the mental health of our team is a major priority for us. We run a series of initiatives to develop team relationships and keep everyone’s mental wellbeing strong.
