Autism Anglia and Doucecroft School, based in Colchester, are seeking a Lunchtime LearningSupportAssistant.The Successful Lunchtime LSA willdirectlysupportthe learners in their learning environment, in the classroom, during activities, and during break periods and lunch times as part of the LearningSupportAssistants Team.The successful Lunchtime LearningSupportAssistant will help facilitate asupportiveand safe environment for learning.This is an exciting opportunity that would be well suited to a LSA who enjoyssupportinglearners in both anindividualand group setting. Location: Doucecroft School, Eight Ash Green, Colchester, CO6 Salary: £20,348.39 per annum (Term Time only, plus additional days for training) Hours: Monday to Friday 10:30 am - 2:00 pm (term-time only) The role: Directlysupportthe learners in their learning environment, in the classroom during activists, and at break and lunch times Working closely with the Teachers and other LearningSupportAssistants, assisting and contributing to lessons, and playing anactiverole in the completion of schemes of work Working with small groups or person learners across the age and ability range both on the school's site and out in the community Taking anactiverole insupportinglearners involved in a range of physical activities including swimming, horse riding, ice skating, and much more Activelycontribute to the smooth running of the educational setting To comply with and promote to others, the policies and procedures relating to the school, specifically those relating tochildprotection, safeguarding, health and safety, securityconfidentiality, and data protection Applications are welcome from Lunchtime LearningSupportAssistants with the following: Proven experience inchildcare andchilddevelopment Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above Excellent observational and organisational skills NVQ Level 3SupportingTeaching and Learning is highly desirable but not essential Swimming, rescue test for swimming teachers is highly desirable but not essential Relevant experience working with individuals with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting is highly advantageous By its nature, Doucecroft School offers an excellent work/life balance reflected by small class sizes and a senior leadership team who are committed to reducing the administrative tasks of its teachers, to allow teaching staff to focus heavily on direct outcomes for the learners.
