Our esteemed school in South Tyneside is seeking a compassionate and capable Autism Support Worker to join our team. This full-time role offers stability and the opportunity to support students with complex needs on the autistic spectrum.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Student Support: Provide assistance to students with autism in both group and one-on-one settings
2. Classroom Assistance: Help students with classwork as needed
3. Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies
4. Daily Routines: Assist students with their daily routines and activities
5. Team Collaboration: Work with the team to develop and implement Education Healthcare Plans (EHCPs)

Qualifications:
6. Experience: Previous experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker is preferred but not essential
7. Attitude: A positive and encouraging attitude
8. Skills: Experience in behaviour management
