Job Duties:
* Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning activities
* Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
* Support students with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene tasks
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
* Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding student progress
Required Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
* Previous experience working with children with SEN
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Experience working in a classroom setting with children with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of different learning needs and strategies for students with SEN
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Makaton or other communication support training
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily within a school setting
* May involve some physical activity and lifting
* Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
