We are seeking a Deputy Manager on a permanent, full time basis for our setting in Studley, Warwickshire.

Please note that these positions are full-time on a rotating shift pattern between 7.30am-6.00pm.
Responsible to: Nursery Manager and Operations Director
Overall purpose of the job:
1. To deputise for the setting manager.
2. To provide a high standard of care and education to children in line with the Ethos, Core values, policies and procedures for Bright Kids.
3. To provide a clean and well-maintained environment conducive with the Curiosity Approach and health and safety standards.
4. To work as part of a team to support the smooth running of the setting as a whole.
5. Have areas of responsibility within the setting as part of the management team.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Overall management responsibility for the setting in the absence of the manager.
2. Assist the Manager in providing effective day-to-day management of the setting.
3. Assist the Manager in collection, accounting and banking of monies.
4. Assist the Manager in setting and implementing objectives and policies for the setting within the overall established framework and ethos of the company.
5. To be responsible for supervising some health and safety routines.
6. To assist the Manager and all staff in promoting Equal Opportunities throughout the Nursery.
Qualities and Experience:
We are looking for a person who is qualified to at least a level 3 in childcare, with at least two years post-qualification experience, including at least one year’s supervisory experience within a Nursery setting. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the running of a Nursery is essential. The ability to use computerised systems would be an advantage. Previous management experience would also be beneficial. You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour. We are also looking for a person who is able to work on his or her own initiative within the Nursery setting.
You should also:
1. Be an effective communicator, using appropriate formats and platforms.
2. Be punctual and manage time effectively.
3. Be flexible to meet the needs of the setting and the company as a whole.
4. Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
5. Be able to take action or make decisions in emergencies.
6. Be approachable to all staff, parents and other professionals.
