EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW Our WSC Operations team have an excellent opportunity to join as our new Environment & Implementation Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for the successful implementation of environmental projects and process improvement, communication, standards and strategies within Severn Trent Services. The emphasis will be on seeking out opportunities to add value that results in tangible benefits aligned to our internal targets, performance with a key focus on our environmental obligation. You’ll manage our EMS – Environmental Management System to ISO14001:2015 standard and ensure we are meeting obligations set within our contracts. While ensuring successful management of our environmental permits, including abstraction licences across the MoD estate. The role is primarily focussed on the MoD contract but will also operate across other contacts within Severn Trent Services (STS). Some of your key accountabilities will be: Provide expert advice on environmental topics, engineering projects, operational activities and day to day activities which can impact the environment, customer or contract. Actively monitor environmental performance parameters, collate environmental performance information and create reports to communicate to the senior leaders – Developing into projects where required for implementation. Manage and maintain reporting of abstraction licenses between Operations, Environment Agency and DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation). While supporting the business with implementation of engineering projects and ensuring we’re complying with regulations and caring for the environment. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE We’re seeking an Environment & Implementation Specialist that is comfortable supporting our Water and Waste Process Technical Leads in clear communications to operations on product and environment improvements. To be successful in this role, you’ll have an understanding of ISO 14001:2015 standard and how to manage an environmental management system. You’ll also have a strong knowledge and understanding of environmental laws and legislation ensuring compliance at all levels, with great communication and stakeholder management skills. Additionally, you’ll have experience in project management and implementing new ways of working, standards, processes or projects. Project management skills associated with project delivery (SBF tools). As travel is required, you’ll also hold a full U.K driving licence.
