Serco has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team on a hybrid basis to manage our supply chain partners (SCPs).
In this role, you will manage the performance and contractual obligations of our SCPs and other suppliers, working closely with the Commercial Lead and other members of the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS) Senior Leadership Team to develop and nurture excellent relationships with our SCPs and the MoD. You will ensure that all SCPs meet target performance levels and contractual requirements while identifying and delivering continuous improvement through our SCPs and potential subcontractors.
This post will oversee and manage a caseload of potential subcontractor providers and support them in completing the necessary Serco due diligence and compliance checks promptly. At Serco, we partner with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide critical recruitment services for the UK's Armed Forces.
Main responsibilities of the role:
* Using the Serco EOI portal, construct and issue EOI that accurately reflects the services/skills/outcomes that Serco is looking for from potential subcontractors.
* Project manage the EOI process, subcontractor selection, vetting, and onboarding process to support the wider delivery program.
* Maintain and record a transparent sub-contractor evaluation and selection process.
* Guide sub-contractors through due diligence and onboarding steps.
* Serve as a point of escalation for issues during the due diligence and onboarding process.
* Maintain regular communications with all sub-contractors during the EOI, selection, and onboarding process.
* Project manage the subcontractor cohort to ensure timely completion of due diligence and compliance checks.
* Manage the signing and record-keeping of key supply chain documents (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, supply contracts) in line with standard Serco processes.
What you'll need to do the role:
* Able to achieve BPSS clearance.
* Flexible to commit to regular travel to the joint AFR HQ in Abbey Wood (Bristol), AFR Transition in Andover, and other operational sites as required.
* A proven track record of managing successful supply chains, ideally within high-volume recruitment operations.
* Subcontractor Management Experience.
* Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Competent in working with data and management information systems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to work across multiple teams.
