The Safeguarding Review & Quality Assurance Service provides a child protection service for vulnerable children in the borough which is vital to the effective running of services to safeguard children.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Assistant who will provide business support to the Independent Reviewing Officers, Looked After Designated Officer (LADO) and other safeguarding professionals and operational team.
You will need strong literacy and communication skills, be a good team player but also able to work on your own initiative. Good time management is essential. A professional attitude will equip you to deal with a wide variety of people. The nature of this role will demand excellent attention to detail to complete accurate work.
You will come as a skilled user of Information Technology, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and web-based applications, these skills will enable you to respond to the demands of this role. Your experience of maintaining and manipulating databases will also be essential, as we collect monitoring data for each meeting and need to ensure accurate information is maintained on a large scale. Training will be provided in the specialist area of understanding Child Welfare and Client databases. A short assessment test will form part of the selection process.
You will have an office base (145 King Street) but will work from other locations in and out of the Borough including Remote Working.
