IT Systems Engineer (1 month Contract)
Location: Salford
Immediate Start
Key Responsibilities:
1. Server Administration and Maintenance:
1. Manage and maintain servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2. Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
3. Monitor server health and respond to alerts promptly.
2. Technical Support:
1. Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support to resolve technical issues.
2. Assist users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
3. Document and track support requests and resolutions.
3. SQL Server Management:
1. Build and troubleshoot SQL Server queries.
2. Perform SQL Server reporting to support data analysis and decision-making.
3. Optimize database performance and manage database security.
4. Backup Management:
1. Implement and manage backup solutions using VEEAM.
2. Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
3. Ensure compliance with backup policies and procedures.
5. Lexis Nexis VisualFiles:
1. Administer and support Lexis Nexis VisualFiles.
2. Customize workflows and troubleshoot issues within the system.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience: Minimum [number] years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role. Proven experience with server administration, technical support, and backup management.
3. Skills:
1. Proficiency in server administration and maintenance.
2. Strong knowledge of VEEAM and backup management practices.
3. Experience with Lexis Nexis VisualFiles and SQL Server.
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
