Assists with the coordination and proctoring of standardized and other academic exams, and supports the implementation of Student Success Center projects and services.
1. Schedules and proctors individual tests for students in close collaboration with faculty, NSU Admissions, Accessibility Services, Institutional Research, and others.
2. Administers and proctors national standardized tests, including CLEP, PRAXIS, ACT, SAT, and others for prospective and current students.
3. Assists with reporting testing results to appropriate parties including Admissions, Registrar, and academic advising departments.
4. Maintains knowledge regarding testing procedures at NSU and national exams.
5. Keeps track of test preparation and related materials; communicates needs as appropriate.
6. Monitors testing services email, phone, and other systems; refers students to appropriate campus personnel as needed.
7. Assists with the logistics of GOLD Series and other Student Success Center programs.
8. Inputs data and exam scores into student information systems as assigned.
9. Assists in establishing new student advising appointments with constituents and students.
10. Supports regular Progress Reports and ad hoc alerts and cases.
11. Helps to create Navigate360 training resources for students, faculty, and staff.
12. Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, experience in a tightly-controlled working environment. Must be willing to be trained and certified to administer national standardized tests. Must have basic computer skills and be able to troubleshoot common problems. Some college strongly preferred; high school diploma required. Courteous demeanor, ability to deal with challenging situations. Self-starter.
HOURS: Part-time, regular daytime business hours to be agreed upon with supervisor. Some evening/weekend work required for national testing; these dates are set by the testing companies and are not negotiable. Some tests may require a slightly longer working day; hours on other days adjusted as necessary.
