The Role: As Deputy Head of our SEN School, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school. Key responsibilities include: Providing leadership and direction in line with the school's vision, values, and objectives. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, including curriculum planning, staff development, and student welfare. Supporting the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding. Collaborating with staff, parents, and external stakeholders to foster positive relationships and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Acting as a role model and mentor to staff, inspiring a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and innovation. Requirements: To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial experience in a leadership role within a special educational needs setting. Strong knowledge of special educational needs curriculum, pedagogy, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. A commitment to promoting the well-being and academic achievement of students with special educational needs. Flexibility, resilience, and a collaborative approach to leadership.
