Job summary
We are currently looking for someone to join us as an ArtTherapist and Life Celebration Co-ordinator, this is a part time role (hours per week) and is on a fixed term basis for 6 months.
This role is part of the Patient and Family Support team andwill work across the Charitys services to assess the psychological, emotional,social and spiritual needs of patients and family members and implement andoversee suitable creative therapeutic interventions, with a focus on visualarts and life celebration/reminiscence work.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include:
Working with patients and families to identifytheir therapeutic goals
To support patients and family members whoaccess our Hospice services to create life celebration work through a range ofdifferent media letters to family, memory boxes etc.
To hold own caseload of creative therapyreferrals and supervise volunteers and students to deliver interventions
To support patients and family members whoaccess our Hospice services to create life celebration work through a range ofdifferent media.
To work with the Bereavement Lead to developbereavement support services for children and young people.
Actively contribute to multidisciplinarydiscussions and patient care planning and proactively anticipate likely needsof complex caseload
