Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the mid grade pharmacist team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. This post is part of our mid-grade pharmacists' programme, which includes support to develop a specialist clinical role as well as core senior pharmacist skills including prescribing, education, quality improvement and leadership. At ward level, as part of the Admissions team, you will work closely with consultants and ward-based staff, providing pharmaceutical expertise to ensure the safety of patients. You will be responsible for helping to mentor both foundation pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists, and will be given opportunities to gain experience in all levels of clinical service, education and training, leadership and operational co-ordination of a team. Applicants must have a postgraduate clinical certificate or equivalent clinical experience by the start date (latest January 2025), and will be supported to undertake a prescribing qualification if they do not already hold one. Main duties of the job Providing specialist clinical pharmacy support to the Admissions team, provide operational leadership to a designated ward based pharmacy team and supporting our foundation pharmacist-led weekend clinical service, this job would suit a pharmacist with excellent clinical knowledge, who is keen to develop their leadership qualities.
