Morson Technical Services are currently seeking a Technical Equipment Conditioner to join our team based at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis
PURPOSE/ ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Equipment Conditioning Section (ECS):
Custodianship, Integrity and Accuracy of Items’ physical and Electronic Data
Accountable for all security, preservation, accounting and integrity of components within the ECS
Liaison with the GOLDesp Boundary Cell regarding Electronic Item Creation, Update, Receipt and Despatch.
Undertaking Anti Deterioration Maintenance (ADM) on uninstalled Components.
Accountable for all aspects of document and component control for items under ECS control in direct support of AMO / MMO activities, ensuring clear traceability of Data Integrity and associated CAW Records (IAW applicable MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), JAP(D)100A-0409 series and MAMP Publications)
Operation of all associated IT to the latest issue including SAP, MJDI, CIETP, Resolve, GOLDesp and MODNet
The appropriate conditioning of items and equipment as either Serviceable, Unserviceable (R2/R4) or SCRAP IAW MAMP, CIETP, Defence logistics Framework and associated approved Technical Information.
Hold Engineering Authorisations within trade for the certification of component conditioning and ADM associated activities.
Updating GOLDesp records in support of Components and Equipment under the custodianship of the ECS including R2/R4 processes.
Conduct Component and equipment Triage activities on all items, ensuring that the customer receives correctly conditioned Serviceable assets and that R2/R4 vendors receive correctly conditioned repairable assets.
When conditioning, ensure all additional maintenance practices / requirements are identified to optimise benefit.
Initiate disposal action for assets that do not meet the vendor’s repairable standards.
Monitor and investigate rejections - Maintain rejection register to identify & collate real time failings to provide management with up-to-date analytical trends to enable continuous improvements to be made.
Challenge conditioning category. On inspection of an asset deemed for R4 repair that could be repaired in R2 with stores availability and correct tooling confirmed; Request temporary/permanent addition to R2 capability via R2 manager.
Ensuring asset Data, life verification check, has been correctly carried out on all items conditioned for repair and informing the boundary cell where inaccuracies have been identified
Control a database of additional information required in the day-to-day activities of conditioning assets
Input of Leaflet 103/109/TQs challenging repair limits and maintenance policy and earlier data correction activities when appropriate.
Identify potential MF760 items IAW MAM-P whilst ascertaining with the originator if MF760 action has been considered. If MF760 action is not required process as R2/R4, If MF760 action is required return asset back to originator with management informed.
Raise, action and support QOR’s activity in support of ECS / ADM / conditioning errors.
The control and management of tooling iaw MRP Pt 145 RA 4808, company Operating Procedures and MAM-P Ch 4.13.1.
Maintain quarantine database to ensure assets subject to EO, E1 or E3 action either due to technical queries, GOLDesp issues or outstanding actions are investigated for effective progression. Once investigation is complete, liaise with Logistics management to ensure item is then conditioned correctly to meet demand plans.
To fully comply with all company Quality, Safety and Regulatory processes / requirements.
To undertake any other ECS support related activities as directed by management.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Thorough knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance principles, Aircraft Components, Equipment Conditioning, Material Management and MOD Supply Chain processes.
Hold a Certificate of Competence to supervise Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent civilian ‘B’ licence.
Thorough working knowledge, experience and understanding of MOD GOLDesp.
Thorough understanding of MOD Engineering Information Systems and associated Work Recording documentation.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the MAMP / MAMD and JAP(D)100A-0409 Series of Documents.
Comprehensive knowledge of Equipment Conditioning and associated requirements / activities within the MOD environment
Fully IT literate with knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications.
Demonstrate a confident and effective approach to personal communications with the ability to convey information with Senior Management, Customers and Staff in a clear and effective manner – Both verbal and/or visual forms.
