Location: Cambridge (Fully Onsite)
Experis are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work for a global tech company to support research and other cloud research projects. The team is multi-disciplinary, comprising optics, software, and electronics experts with a collaborative and agile atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, source, assemble and test mechanical systems required to support the project.
* Interactively take and develop requirements from the team to find appropriate solutions in a collaborative environment.
* Work in an agile team where priorities and tasks can change rapidly.
Minimum Qualifications
* Significant experience in the design and implementation of motion systems requiring sub micrometre accuracy and alignment.
* Expert in SolidWorks including PDM.
* Hands-on experience with methods of fabrication including light machining and 3D printing.
* Experience of tolerancing and specifications for production.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field AND 5+ years related technical engineering experience (Ideally Masters/Doctorate).
