The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for carrying out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions
Overhaul and recertification of relief valves including conventional, balances bellows, pilot operated and vacuum types
Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes
Provide technical support to all valve workshop teams
Plan and coordinate any project or shutdown work as and when required
Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports of the equipment detailed above in accordance with the client and/or the company’s requirements
Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date
Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department
NVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline is preferred
Accurate and quality-conscious attitude towards all aspects of role
Strong problem solving and planning skills are essential
Ability to work as part of a team within the workshop and wider business
