Due to the expansion of the Autism Social Communication Education and Training Service (ASCETS) within the Sheffield City Council SEND Department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified teacher seeking a new challenge. We invite you to join our committed team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants, who work collaboratively across Sheffield to support educational settings in the inclusion of autistic children and young people within educational environments. The successful candidate will be a highly qualified teacher with in-depth expertise in autism theory and practice. You will have significant experience in leading Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across various educational phases, demonstrating a proven track record of embedding neuro-affirming practices at the core of all teaching and learning. A comprehensive understanding and practical experience in implementing the SEND Code of Practice is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team are crucial. Post-graduate qualifications in SEND or Autism are highly desirable.
