Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Salary/Grade: £44,100 - £55,123 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Larne (hybrid – 3 days a week in office)

About EPD:
Caterpillar's Electric Power Division (EPD) offers integrated solutions, parts, and services to meet the needs of our various commercial and industrial electric power customers. EPD supports a wide range of customer applications across the globe, including providing back-up power to hospitals and supporting critical infrastructure.
The opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Caterpillar (N.I.) situated at Larne. This role provides a great opportunity to manage multiple complex Electric Power projects from conception through to completion.
What you will do:
* Provide leadership to the project team(s) executing all project activities related to fiscal reporting, engineering, procurement, purchasing, logistics, quality, EHSS, site technical assistance, and commissioning of LEP Solutions projects.
* Understand project technical and commercial requirements, local conditions, and statutory requirements.
* Develop project schedule, costing, and manage document control.
* Collaborate with dealers in managing Customer change orders and facilitate the project team in making sound assessments and decisions.
* Develop risk identification and mitigation strategies with team members and dealers on projects.
* Assist the dealer project team in developing and executing the project execution strategy.
* Practice and manage regular communications and reporting with team members, dealers, customers, and management.
* Leverage Functional Area Leaders and team members to solve business problems to ensure project objectives are met.
* Support the factory Quality Engineer and Dealer site team in closing project site ‘punch list’ items.
* Conduct ‘lessons learned’ meetings with all Functional Area Leaders and responsible dealers after system turnover to end user.

* The ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control construction and/or industrial projects.

* The ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives and projects.
* Recognises changing demands and priorities.
* Experience with managing at least 2-3 concurrent projects without reducing productivity.

* The ability to adapt to a changing environment.
* Identifies and considers alternative approaches to situations or problems.
* Adjusts to new or changing assignments.
Relationship Management - Level Working Knowledge:
* The ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients and peers.
* Works with clients to address critical issues.
* Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests.
Additional information:
Some travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
