We manufacture a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon growth in Scotland, Ireland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway.
The Role – MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)
MOWI Fish Feed is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to take on the exciting and challenging role of Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias.
The successful candidate will be working within the Maintenance team, whose purpose is to support all departments in the efficient operation of all process related equipment.
The feed plant runs 24/7-365 and the successful candidate will be required to participate in a shift rota, including on call.
The main duties and responsibilities undertaken will involve:
* Undertaking mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, alone and as part of a team.
* Following the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Troubleshooting faults as they arise and identifying best solutions.
* Working with and maintaining records within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Liaising with fellow Maintenance Engineers and Department management regarding faults and planned maintenance schedules.
* Collaborating with other departments and 3rd party contractors.
* Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy workspace.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Decent computer literacy (sending emails, working with files and folders etc.).
* Competency working with common hand tools.
* Competency working with electrical systems (e.g., 24VDC / 4-20mA control systems, 230 – 1000V (or above), 3 phase motors, VFDs etc.).
* Familiarity with mechanical / electrical components.
* Experience in production, manufacturing, maintenance or servicing environment.
* Good understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols and experience undertaking risk assessments and exercising risk reduction measures.
* Excellent work ethic, professional attitude and interpersonal skills.
Preferable experience (Not essential as full training provided):
* Moving pallets/ forklift work / Slinging and signalling.
* MEWP Operation.
