Glasgow Life is looking for a Head of Commercial and Business Growth to join us on a full-time 3 year fixed term contract. This is a new post that will lead on planning, developing, and executing a sustainable business growth strategy to maximise income whilst maintaining our mission to positively impact the lives of citizens and tourists, contributing to the city’s economic success through stronger realisation of the city’s assets and seeking out new opportunities. The role As the Head of Commercial and Business Growth, you’ll be an integral part of the senior management team. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and collaborating across our complex organisation with a vast physical and online portfolio for opportunities to optimise revenue streams and achieve an ambitious growth plan. The role is directly responsible for retail avenues for growth as well as indirectly responsible for other routes including Glasgow Club and Venue Hire across the estate. Responsible for generating sustainable recurring revenue commensurate with the size, scale and breadth of Glasgow Life.The candidate If you’re interested in joining us as Head of Commercial and Business Growth you’ll need to demonstrate: • Proven experience as a commercial leader, driving growth across-multi channel commercial operations within a complex organisation, with commercial and non-commercial objectives.• A track record of increasing profitability and driving sustained growth in a similar environment.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to forge relationships across all levels.• Knowledge on digital platforms and infrastructures to capture market insight, integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches to spot trends and optimise revenue and deliver sustained growth. • Proven experience of procurement and third-party relationship management.• Skill in effective prioritisation across multiple projects, agendas, partnerships and timeframes.• Proven ability to champion and facilitate an open and collaborative team environment whilst nurturing and motivating team to achieve outcomes. • Experience in all areas of fiscal management including budgeting.• Articulate with an ability to influence key decisions.
