Job summary
Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust are in the exciting position to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated specialist pharmacist for clinical trials.
We have a ambitious Research and Innovation department and an extensive specialist paediatric clinical trial portfolio.
We are seeking a confident pharmacist with drive and excellent communication skills who has substantial experience in direct delivery of clinical pharmacy services. The ideal candidate should have a broad range of clinical knowledge and the ambition to develop this role.
This post would be suitable for a clinically trained Band 7 with hospital experience looking to develop. Experience in clinical trials or paediatrics experience would be desirable but is not essential as training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
To lead the Pharmacy Clinical Trials team.
To be responsible for coordinating the pharmacy service to clinical trials and research involving investigational medicinal products.
To participate in the pharmaceutical services of the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. These services include clinical pharmacy, aseptic services and in-patient services.
You will be expected to take part in the weekend and bank holiday service and the out of hour emergency duty service.

Qualifications and training

8. MPharm or equivalent
9. Registered with GPhC
10. Postgraduate diploma qualification in clinical pharmacy (or relevant experience)
Desirable
11. Leadership or management qualification
12. NMP qualification
13. Membership of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist Group Independent Prescribing qualification
