Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people with diabetes across Glasgow? The NHSGGC Adult Acute Dietetic service are seeking to recruit a dietitian, for a permanent part-time post, to work within the specialist area of diabetes. You would be expected to work as an integrated member in the specialist Dietetic Diabetes Team and provide a clinical service in the out-patient clinics for people in the West & South Glasgow area, living with diabetes. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multi-disciplinary diabetes team taking a pro-active approach in the clinical care of patients, service improvement and pathway development. The GGC Adult Acute Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams in different settings and specialities. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. Contributing to the dietetic practice placements in Scotland this post will also contribute to developing students' clinical skills during their dietetic practice placements. Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required. Applicants should have previous experience of diabetes, require minimum education to BSc Dietetics qualification, registration with Health Care Professions Council, be a member of British Dietetic Association and PVG membership scheme/Disclosure Scotland.
