JobSummary:
Toactively deliver a professional Human Resources Advisory and Policyservice to a range of identified customers to support them oncomplex HR issues providing professional advice and guidance tosupport them in the day to day operational management of theirservices.
Therole is part of a shared service and while the role willpredominantly focus on the activities of a borough; a group ofschools and academies; and/or or other traded partners there is anexpectation that individuals will work flexibly across all areaswhere their expertise is required to support the best use of HRresources to meet fluctuations in demand.
Whereopportunities to develop and improve HR policy and practice areidentified there is a responsibility to look to apply these acrossall partners to support the delivery of coordinated solutions andalign HR policy and practice to simplify standardise and enhance HRservice provision.
Thepostholder will be allocated a specific Senior HR Advisor or HRAdvisor but is expected to work closely with other EmployeeRelations Managers to effectively manage the workallocation.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities
Review developand implement HR policies and procedures transactional andoperational processes to contribute to a culture of continuousimprovement and customer focus and maintain good practice reflectchanging legislation streamline processes and best meetorganisational objectives utilising a managed riskapproach.
Whereappropriate discuss/consult trade unions on changes and develop anddeliver necessary briefings management workflows and trainingsessions to better enable management help embed new ways of workingand support managers to selfmanage noncomplex employee relationsmatters.
Work withcolleagues across the HR service to deliver HR development projectsand new approaches as part of the wider HR Strategy and developmentproviding customer insight and localised support to enable fast andeffective organisational change and transformation to meetincreasing customer expectations and improve value formoney.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
Experienceof employment legislation HR policy andprocedures and experience of interpreting and applying this toinform HR policy and support the businessisessential.
Significantexperience of advising managers through change processes and onemployee relations issues and investigations with an understandingof the business and implications involved then of providingpractical HR support isessential.
Experience ofproviding and delivering a range of successful HR interventionswithin a large organisation to a range of services and audiences atall levels isessential.
Experience ofthe strategic objectives of an organisation and how this relates tothe HR and OD function is essential.
EssentialQualificationRequired:
Bachelor sdegree with honours; Graduate certificates & diplomas; Someprofessional qualifications; and equivalent qualifications orevidence of demonstrable application in the course ofexperience isdesirable.
Evidenced bybeing a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personneland Development (CIPD) equivalent qualification and/or evidence ofequivalent knowledge and experience isessential.
