Tesco Property Maintenance are looking for hardworking and efficient Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Property Maintenance Team! At Tesco, our stores and offices couldn’t function without the support of our integral teams.
You will be responsible for
As a Maintenance Technician your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:
1. Confidently Interact with External Contractors : Coordinating repairs seamlessly.
2. Work Collaboratively with the Team : Be a great colleague who understands the importance of quality service.
3. Sustain High Energy Levels : Juggling tasks while maintaining efficiency.
4. Assist the Management Team : Keeping our stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
5. Minimize Customer Disruption : Coordinating repairs with minimal impact on our valued customers.
Responsibilities will include;
6. Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
7. Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, improving efficiency, and effectiveness.
8. Working closely with team members, sharing best practice and knowledge.
9. General day to day store and property maintenance.
10. Using mobile devices; phone and tablet, to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
11. Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values (serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day), maintaining a positive attitude & taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
12. Attending local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
13. Supporting a diverse and inclusive culture.

23. CORT1 - Commercial overhead radiant heaters
24. TPCP1A - Testing and direct purging of low pressure commercial pipework not exceeding 1m3
25. TPCP1 - Testing and direct purging of commercial pipework exceeding 1m3 in volume up to 7 bar
26. UNVENTED Hot water Systems Certs G3
27. CDGA1 COMMISSION SERVICE REPAIR & BREAKDOWN OF COMMERCIAL DIRECT FIRED HEATING APPLIANCES & EQUIPMENT – NG & LPG
Desirable Skills:
28. Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or improver programme or trade proficiency test
29. Refrigeration and AC C&G 6187, 7189, 6090 or NVQ or equivalent
30. Heating & Ventilation C&G 7188, 6288, 6188 or NVQ or Equivalent
31. Plumbing & Heating C&G 4467, 3345, 6189, 6035 or NVQ or Equivalent
32. Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Digitally confident; can comfortably operate mobile phone and tablets to view workload, emails, teams, and use of business systems.
33. C&G 2079 - F-Gas and ODS regulations (Air Con)
