What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit a Year 3 class teacher as soon as possible. The position is full time but we would consider part time for the right person.
Your responsibilities will include: -
• Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your class
• Be a positive role model in terms of behaviour, work and attitude
• Create and develop a warm and nurturing learning environment
• Plan and teach well structed lessons to ensure progression across the age and ability range ensuring it meets the needs of individual learners
• Foster excellent relationships and encourage the involvement and support of parents, governors, community and other agencies
• Working within a team
• Demonstrate high expectations for all children
• Demonstrate the school values at all times
• Be highly professional
Qualifications and experience
• Qualified teacher Degree
Skills and knowledge
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
• A good understanding of how children learn
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
• Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils
• Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
• Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
• Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
• KS2 experience
