Position: Behaviour Support

Pay: £12.90 - £13.60
Responsibility: Working 121 with a child in KS2 with challenging behaviour
It is with excitement that I inform you of our newest job. The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year. The child you will be expected to support receives additional funding as his behaviour is highly distracting in the classroom. The school require cover in this role as the child has recently moved to the area and is new to the school. The working hours will be full-time, from 8:30-3:30 with a 30 minute break.
In this role, you will be expected to work with the class teacher in order to differentiate the curriculum so that the said child can work effectively in the classroom and reduce disruption amongst the other children in class. The Headteacher is keen to get continuity with the staff member supporting the child and has stressed that the person coming in must have behaviour support experience and Team Teach training. She also mentioned that it is important that the applying candidates are resilient and ready to hit the ground running. You will be expected to not only support the child during the working day, but also throughout lunch times and break times.
The school is currently going through a transitional period and is keen to improve on the standards to ensure all the children are able to make good progress. The Head teacher is very passionate about supporting children especially given the backgrounds of some of their families. The Head teacher is also very supportive of her staff and will ensure any new person to the team is welcomed and given a full induction.
In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:
* Level 2 or above qualification.
* Experience working alongside children with behaviour difficulties.
* Full time availability and flexibility to cover welfare and break time.
* The commitment and passion to support the Curriculum and improve standards in the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
