About You
We are looking for a Digital Lead who has a good understanding of all MEP disciplines, including industry codes, standards, and best practices. Someone who understands the level of detail required at each RIBA stage of a project. Someone who is positive and professional at all times, with a personable and a ‘can do’ attitude to work and responsibility, who is kind and considerate to others irrespective of faith, race, language, gender, age, ability.

In the role of Digital Lead you will have the opportunity to:
1. Liaise with project managers to plan upcoming project needs and flex resources to suit, involving BIM principal, when required.
2. Work closely with the BIM coordinators who are responsible for producing project information models.
3. Conduct audits on models to ensure adherence to company BIM standards, using this data to determine training needs that may be required and ultimately escalate to the BIM Principal.
4. Act as the intermediary between designers, clients and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective.
5. Assist staff by producing clear legible drawings and models to company standards.
6. Integrate Quality Assurance procedures.
7. Liaise with other members of the design team in-house and occasionally the Architect and contractor to coordinate a design package.
8. Assist in maintaining BIM and CAD standards for BES.
9. Attend external BIM conferences, seminars and workshops, then disseminating knowledge back to the appropriate teams (to be agreed beforehand with BIM Principal).
10. Support the production of collateral marketing material such as case studies.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
1. Excellent presentation, communication and client facing skills.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience – MEP BIM Coordinator.
3. To be able to work as part of a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.
4. Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team, project stakeholders and clients.
5. Working knowledge of latest fire regulations and its impacts on mechanical services.
6. Understanding of the construction design team, tender and construction process.
7. Ability to use the following software competently and independently:
1. Fully proficient in Autodesk – AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks and various authoring tools and plug ins.
2. Knowledge of Autodesk - BIM collab and others.
3. Knowledge of – Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
4. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
5. Knowledge of Solibri advantageous.
6. ISO 19650 Certification advantageous.
Required Qualifications
1. Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
2. A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 10 years digital delivery experience.
3. Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems.
4. Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
5. Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools.
6. Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
7. Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications.
8. Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies.
9. Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
10. Familiar with content creation and management concepts.
11. Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
12. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support.
13. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essential.
14. Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work.
15. Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and have an excellent work ethic.
