About The Role
This role supports the Finance Director and Controller by maintaining accurate accounting systems, managing ledgers, reconciling accounts, preparing monthly reports, and assisting with statutory filings. Principle duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Purchase and Sales ledger management.
* Reconciliation of various balance sheet items.
* Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and reports.
* Assist with filing of accounts at Companies House.
* Ad hoc projects as required by the Finance Team.
Person Specification
* Previous experience in an accounts role with working knowledge of Xero.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Intermediate excel skill is required.
* Previous experience of using data entry software is desirable.
* Self-motivated and able to work individually as well as part of a team.
Additional Skills
* Experience of working within a customer focused administration role.
* Excellent interpersonal & judgement skills.
* Experience of working to KPI targets and tight deadlines whilst balancing competing priorities within a busy environment.
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm professional demeanour.
* Committed to providing the best quality service and achieving the highest standards of client care.
* Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals.
* Able to establish and maintain productive professional relationships with colleagues.
