A compelling and distinctive opportunity to join the founding team of staff at Brook Mead Academy: help shape the future of Leicester’s newest secondary school.
Position: Assistant Curriculum Leader - Maths
Start Date: Late August 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR 2A
The Mead Educational Trust is an energetic and dynamic family of thirteen primary and secondary schools in and around Leicester. As a family of schools, we use our collective strength and talents in order to make a positive difference to our children, young people and communities. Every person who works for TMET has a role in helping our children succeed, from teachers to premises officers to IT professionals.
At the heart of all we do is a commitment to provide our children with access to a world-class education, our schools with excellent school-to-school support, and our staff with high quality professional development. Our people really are our greatest asset and we are always looking for ways to help them develop and grow their careers.
Brook Mead Academy is the newest school in TMET and has already been judged as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in our first inspection in March 2024. We are now set to move into our state-of-the-art new carbon net zero building in the west of Leicester and work towards our first set of GCSE results in 2026.
We know that education has the power to transform lives. At Brook Mead, we are Building Better Futures Together! Staff and pupils are united in a mission to excel and secure the best possible future for each pupil by laying the foundations for high academic achievement and all-round personal development.
We believe that knowledge is power and access to powerful knowledge is the right of every child. We are looking for subject enthusiasts and experts ready to take our pupils on an exciting journey through their subject, ensuring our scholars leave with a treasure trove of knowledge and skills which will be theirs forever to use for the betterment of themselves and the world. If you love your subject and want to craft a beautiful and powerful journey through it for our pupils, then we would love to hear from you!

* Curriculum is king with the discipline of each subject respected and fostered.
* Our pedagogical approach has clarity, simplicity and power, following our BMA Direct Instruction framework.
* Staff wellbeing is a priority with constant vigilance around workloads.
