This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant who enjoys working with business owners, advising clients, and mentoring junior staff. You will be involved in a variety of client projects, from accounts preparation to tax compliance and business advisory, helping clients make informed financial decisions. Role Responsibilities
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Completing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
* Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering proactive business and financial advice
* Reviewing work completed by junior accountants and trainees, providing mentoring and support
* Assisting in the management of client portfolios, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
* Supporting audit engagements, liaising with clients, and helping to identify areas for improvement
* Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry best practices

Candidate Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified
* Significant experience working in an accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax compliance
* Excellent client management and communication skills, with a commercial mindset
* Ability to review work, train, and mentor junior team members
* Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
* A proactive approach, able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
