Summary: The Business Account Executive is responsible for establishing, building, and nurturing long-term business relationships to generate new apprenticeship starts with both new and existing clients. This role is essential for achieving monthly apprenticeship start targets and involves promoting and selling a range of services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities:
* Generate apprenticeship starts with new and existing clients through various sales activities, including sales visits, appointments, presentations, networking, mailshots, telephone sales, cold calling, and lead follow-ups.
* Collaborate with the Business Account Manager to develop account plans for assigned clients, setting targets for customer satisfaction, retention, and future sales growth.
* Maintain market knowledge to identify and pursue new business leads.
* Take full ownership of the client relationship from lead generation through to solution creation, apprentice start, and transition into key account management, ensuring maximum opportunities are realised.
* Achieve sales targets and business profile requirements in line with contractual obligations and key performance indicators.
* Handle speculative calls, new inquiries, aftercare, and client service calls in a timely and professional manner.
* Support clients in planning their recruitment and training strategies, including managing enrolments, launch events, and inductions.
* Liaise with the onboarding team to ensure all paperwork for apprentice sign-ups is completed, fully compliant, and supports an effective start.
* Stay commercially aware of business opportunities in the local labour market and adopt a proactive approach to business generation.
* Report sales activity, data, and forecasts on a weekly/monthly basis as required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience working in a target-driven commercial environment.
* Sales experience, including telesales.
* Presentation and report writing experience.
* Experience in client relationship management, customer service, or sales.
* Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
