As a Project Support officer at Migration Yorkshire, you will play a critical role in supporting Yorkshire and Humber’s commitment to achieve the most positive outcomes of migration for everyone in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Your work will involve liaising with local authorities, government departments and voluntary sector organisations. You will support local authorities with managed migration programmes including refugee resettlement and with understanding and responding to migration.

Job Description
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Support Officer to ensure the successful delivery of Migration Yorkshire’s work including liaising with local authorities, government departments and voluntary sector organisations where necessary.
Migration Yorkshire works with national government, local government, and others to ensure that Yorkshire and Humber can deal with, and benefit from, migration. Migration Yorkshire is hosted by Leeds City Council.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with project partners and other external organisations and stakeholders, and support the successful delivery of the project and other aspects of Migration Yorkshire’s work.
* Develop and manage electronic and paper recording and filing systems. Input data, check data quality and implement retention and delegation schedules, to ensure that the project is monitored, measured, recorded and reported accurately.
* Prepare, produce and present high quality reports and statistical information relating to performance and monitoring.
* Provide support for meetings (up to Board level), including drawing up agendas, producing or formatting papers and presentations, taking minutes and tracking actions.
* Provide support for events and training sessions, for example booking venues, arranging refreshments, liaising with attendees, producing presentations, training materials or delegate packs and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
* Proofread documents (such as meeting papers and briefing documents) with a high degree of accuracy.
* Work with others to ensure our documents meet accessibility standards.
* Post to Migration Yorkshire’s social media channels and websites, respond to online messages and compile engagement statistics if required.
General
* Respect the confidential nature of the work and follow good practice in data protection.
* Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
* Provide occasional cover for other team members as required, commensurate with the grade.
* Be responsive to the needs of the team and support colleagues as required.
* There will be occasional travel across Yorkshire and Humber, and sometimes beyond, for meetings and events.

Qualifications
5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade A*-C (or equivalent).
Experience and Knowledge Required
* Experience of working in a project support or similar role.
* Experienced and highly competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email software.
* Experience of developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases for project/ performance monitoring.
* Experience of working in partnership with others to deliver work to set deadlines.
* Have an understanding of data protection and be committed to working in a way that ensures confidentiality and the appropriate handling of personal data.
Skills Required
* Good oral and written communication skills, with a command of written and spoken English at a level appropriate for the effective performance of the role.
* Ability to professionally represent the organisation to external stakeholders.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan ahead and to manage and prioritise a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
