ASL Technical are working on behalf of our Surrey based Automotive client, offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing Prototype and Development department as a Vehicle Build coordinator. Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering design and vehicle development teams to support the building of vehicle functional prototype vehicles. The role will involve overseeing the end-to-end prototype and development vehicle build processes ensuring all cars are built to the required specification. Key Responsibilities: Manage builds according to the high-level project plan. Deliver vehicle specifications to support DVP activities. Provide progress updates and reports to the Principal/Senior Build Engineer. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of parts. Report and resolve build issues in a timely manner. Manage build documentation and ensure vehicle data uploads to the online system. Qualifications & Skills: A relevant engineering degree with a solid understanding of automotive engineering theory. Ideally, some experience in development program delivery, particularly in low-volume, high-performance vehicle programs. Familiarity with CAD-based systems for virtual build analysis, preferably CATIA. A strong understanding of vehicle fundamentals. Proficient in MS Office and other IT tools. Experience in automotive testing and development environments is preferred.
