Hays are working in partnership with a leading global Project and Cost Management Consultancy with over 70 years of integrated project and programme management expertise in the search for an experienced Associate Building Surveyor for their Belfast office, on a permanent basis. This local Consultancy are renowned for delivering a variety of £multi-million schemes throughout both public & private clients. Working closely with one of Northern Ireland’s most reputable public sector bodies, they now seek an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join and bolster their stable management team and deliver on some of the most prestigious construction projects across the world.
Your new role
This role in the Belfast office for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to work in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying duties can offer extremely varied and interesting work with a number of high-profile public and private sector clients.This role has excellent prospects for an individual who has a strong ambition to progress and enjoys working collaboratively within a vibrant team and has experience in managing client relationships and dealing with legal and technical issues.This position would be an excellent opportunity for a Senior Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor with post qualification experience, to develop their career within a forward-thinking organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
As Senior Building Surveyor, to succeed in this role you will display the following criteria;
1. BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree or similar.
2. Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, MCIOB or similar.
3. Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying experience and be client facing with work winning skills.
4. Experience of both pre and post contract project management responsibilities and be able to deliver this service effectively to Clients.
5. Good team working skills and ability tomunicate well at all levels.
6. Prepared to travel as required.
7. To liaise with senior colleagues to help build a profitable service and positive, high performing team environment.
8. Strong IT skills, Word, and Excel as a minimum. Candidates should be able to produce, edit and format documents.
9. Ability to manage and develop team members including mentoring of APC graduates.
10. Experience of managing clients and their expectations.
11. Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
