St Michael's School is looking to appoint a Personal Assistant to the Headmaster and Deputy Head to work full-time during term time and a minimal number of hours during school holidays. The successful candidate will also discreetly manage and co-ordinate all Governance issues and support Senior Leaders as required. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and impeccable attention to detail with the ability to work independently whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously in response to the School's changing operational needs. Ideally, we would like a candidate who has worked in the Educational sector, but this is not essential. Most importantly, we require an individual who is supportive of our ethos and upholds our Christian values, is an excellent communicator, a good team player, and has the patience, sense of humour, and resilience to remain calm under pressure.
Information about the School
St Michael’s Church of England Preparatory School is a co-educational day school for pupils aged from three to eleven years. Situated in a residential area of Leigh-on-Sea, it was founded in 1922 by an order of nuns. The school has its own chapel and the education it provides is founded on Christian principles and practice. Pupils of other faiths are welcome, and they and their parents are asked to support the ethos of the school.
Our vision is to have a school of happy and successful children, all of whom are encouraged and supported to reach their potential in learning, achievement, and personal development.
Underpinned through our Christian community, we acknowledge and value that:
1. Every child is unique.
2. Children learn best when they are happy, safe, and secure.
3. Our school community is enriched by diversity.
4. It is not who a child is by birth that matters but rather what they make of their life (Non Quis Sed Quid).
5. Personal, social, moral, and spiritual development are equally important as academic success.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
