What we are looking for We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to support the daily operations of our Redditch facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in warehouse or factory production, with a strong emphasis on performance monitoring and reporting to ensure we hit our service levels and in line with the budget set. Ideally someone with previous food safety knowledge and health & safety standards. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure service levels are met and errors are minimised. Working schedule: Tuesday - Saturday You will 1. Operational Management: Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Ensure service levels are consistently met and maintain error rates below target levels. Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency. 2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to achieve performance targets. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. 3. Problem Solving and Support: Address operational issues promptly and develop effective solutions. Support the wider team with problem-solving and decision-making. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Support the team in carrying out ‘root cause analysis’ 4. Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of operations. Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations Conduct regular GMP audits to ensure operational standards are upheld. 5. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders. Provide clear and concise reports on operational performance and issues. Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and challenges. Your profile T he right profile for this role will have the following attributes: Proven experience in warehouse or factory production, preferably in the food industry. Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective problem-solving abilities and support-oriented mindset. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
