This is an amazing opportunity to work as an Operations Team Leader within the Criminal Justice sector. To lead a team that has been managing the Electronic Monitoring contract on behalf of the Scottish Government for over 20 years. We are very proud of this achievement and of our record of delivering excellent service whilst working as one supportive team.
Your role will be to deliver a high-quality monitoring service in accordance with the policies and procedures as agreed with the Scottish Government and NI Department of Justice. Lead by example and set the standards we expect our team to adhere to.
Working to a variable shift pattern covering the needs of our 24/7 business. 38 hours per week with a competitive salary of £14.53ph or £28,784.66 annually.
What is “Electronic Monitoring”?
- Electronic Monitoring is the use of Radio Frequency technology to monitor an individual's compliance with an order imposed upon them by an issuing authority such as a Sheriff Court.
- Individuals who are subject to Electronic Monitoring will wear a monitoring device commonly referred to as a “Tag” and have a further monitoring device installed within their premises.
- G4S, an allied universal company, is the Electronic Monitoring Service Provider for Scotland.
G4S installs the equipment, monitors individuals’ compliance, and reports any non-compliance to the relevant authority.
Key Accountabilities
1. To report any monitoring issues to the Operations Supervisor.
2. To oversee the Operation by doing regular checks and report any failings.
3. Support and advise monitoring officers/field officers in their daily duties.
4. Report directly to the Operations Supervisor.
5. Processing of incidents/violations within agreed key performance indicators.
6. Escalate reportable incidents to the Operations Supervisor and as per agreed procedures.
7. Maintain, uphold and demonstrate G4S values and protect the company brand.
8. Must be able to change shifts to cover for all aspects of the operation.
9. To be able to make sure that the roster is covered at all times to enable the operation to work to its potential.
10. Have the ability to work towards writing and checking reports that are submitted to external agencies.
11. To attend meetings as and when required.
