Key Responsibilities:
1. Consolidate and analyse financial data, including budgets and income statement forecasts, aligning with company goals and financial standing.
2. Propose creative solutions and recommendations to reduce costs and enhance financial performance.
3. Compile data to create detailed reports on the financial health and potential risks of the company.
4. Develop financial models, perform benchmarking, and analyse business processes.
5. Conduct studies on historical, future, and comparative performance, while developing forecasting models.
6. Identify key financial trends and provide actionable recommendations to senior analysts based on comprehensive analysis.
7. Monitor and assess the financial status by comparing actual results against forecasts.
8. Reconcile transactions by identifying discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.
9. Continuously update industry knowledge to stay informed on new developments and innovations in the field.
10. Collaborate with management to influence and support long-term strategic decisions across the organisation.
11. Lead process improvements and policy development initiatives to enhance the financial function.
Person Specification:
* Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with commercial finance experience.
* Proactive, resilient, adaptable and "can-do" team player with a drive to make a difference.
* Excellent communication - ability to articulate orally and in writing, complex and detailed information in an easy to understand manner to all levels of the business.
* Attention to detail, highly analytical and comfortable dealing with large datasets.
* Ability to deliver with a flexible approach when required.
* Strong Excel and System skills.
