Description Are you a finance enthusiast who loves keeping everything in perfect balance? We’re on the lookout for an energetic and detail-obsessed Assistant Accountant to join our team The Role: Supporting our brilliant Finance team, you will dive into the transactional remit, conducting daily reconciliations of sales ledgers, keeping our AS400 system up to date by clearing invoices, and managing employee expenses through Concur — ensuring everyone's following the rules (and politely chasing them when they're not). You’ll also be on top of weekly DPD VAT recharges and keeping those employee expense reports moving. On the fixed asset side, you’ll manage everything from tracking Assets Under Construction control accounts and ensuring all projects are within budget, to maintaining our Assetware software, running monthly depreciation, and keeping our fixed assets in line for the UK, Ireland, and USA. You’ll get to flex your communication skills by working with managers and project teams, tracking down any missing info, and helping with annual FAR audits and capital depreciation requests. Plus, you’ll be a key player in our budget planning process, making sure everyone has what they need to hit their targets. We are looking for someone who has the following skills/educational background: Strong ability to work with numbers and analyze financial data. Precision in processing invoices, expenses, and maintaining financial records. Proficient in Excel, AS400, Sage, or similar financial software. Understanding of relevant financial standards and regulations Ability to meet deadlines, particularly during month-end and year-end reporting. Clear communication with team members and other departments regarding financial matters. Strong capability to keep records and reports well-organized. Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and identify errors. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and financial statements. Part Qualified/Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
