We are looking for technically skilled candidates with strong problem-solving ability for the position of IT Technician.
The IT Technician is expected to display good interpersonal skills. They are required to listen to customers technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.
Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading software & Hardware on all computers (Laptops/PC's).
Installing and upgrading software to ensure smooth running.
Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
Providing support to customers and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Conducting evaluations on new stock.
Establishing good relationships with colleagues and key customers
Requirements:
Ability to fit upgrades and install both new hardware & software.
Good interpersonal skills.
Expert in diagnosing and fixing fault/errors on Windows based systems.
Highly Proficient in software installation.
Attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Flexibility in their approach and easily adaptable.
Confident in working independently and with a degree of autonomy.
Education & Experience:
2+ years’ experience in computer maintenance/repair.
Formal IT qualifications are seen as a bonus but not a necessity.
Further Details:
The role is full time and based from our offices near Hunts Cross.
35 Hrs per week some flexi time will be available.
26 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
In addition to the basic salary a bonus may be available.
