Warwick's Emergency Department nursing team is expanding! We are excited to offer the opportunity for registered Nurse Associates to join our excellent and dynamic team. Nurse Associates in ED will work within and support a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to enhance their clinical skills. We offer full support, training, personal and career development, and for those who are due to qualify, we offer a comprehensive and inclusive 12-month preceptorship. There is also the opportunity to access the step-on course to convert band 4 to band 5 and band 5 apprenticeships.
Main duties of the job
The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing and care and within all aspects of the nursing process.
Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct.
The following criteria identify the core components of the roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities of nursing associates. They identify what nursing associates can contribute to the health and wellbeing of patients and service users and apply across all health and care settings. Integral to all of these is the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Nursing Associate Foundation Degree/Higher Apprenticeship
* GCSE level A - C English and Maths or equivalent
Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in healthcare
* Experience working as part of a team
Skills
* Able to implement and evaluate treatment
* Able to recognise when escalation to a registered professional is required
* Able to manage time effectively
* Demonstrates knowledge of research-based practices
* Demonstrates knowledge of clinical audit and clinical effectiveness
* Good written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
* Able to present information, written and orally in an accurate, clear, and logical manner
* Able to write reports about an assessment of an individual
