Exam Invigilators (Construction Skills Testing Centre)
Location: Rotherham
Salary: A£11.83 per hour plus holiday pay
Hours: Part time, flexible hours (Regular availability required)
The Role
The company is looking for an invigilator to join their busy CSCS testing centre at Rotherham College.
You will be required to provide invigilator support for the centre, ensuring that examinations are conducted in accordance with CITB regulations and that all centre documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner for candidate accreditation.
Duties include:
1. Preparation of the exam room prior to candidates arriving, including logging exam computers into the exam's platform.
2. Checking that the correct examination papers/login details are present.
3. Liaising directly with the team should issues arise during the exam.
4. Ensuring that the right candidates attend and checking photo identification.
5. Explaining examination conditions/rules and code of conduct to candidates before the start of the examination in line with CITB regulations.
6. Controlling the examination environment, appropriately reporting incidents, and ensuring a fair and calm process.
7. Occasionally facilitating Exams Access Arrangements.
8. Ensuring that examinations are kept to time and completing invigilation paperwork accurately.
9. Controlling access to the examination room.
Skills and Qualifications
You will...
1. Have previous experience working with groups of people, ideally within an educational setting.
2. Have excellent organisational, time keeping, and customer service skills.
3. Be conscientious and have good attention to detail.
4. Have good IT skills - essential for utilisation of online platforms, downloading, and uploading online tests.
5. Be available to work daytime and/or evenings on a sessional basis.
6. Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake).
