Salary: Competitive What you’ll be doing: Leading, coaching and enhancing the capability of team members, including direct reporting as required Taking responsibility for the establishment, maintenance and execution of 1 or more special process domains, including: Process confirmation activities both internally and externally, representing BAE Systems at internal special process forums, collaborating with other special process SMEs both internally and externally to achieve set goals Understanding the methods of identifying, measuring and assuring the software at the supplier Drives the business to zero defects and Cost of Non-Quality initiatives Ensuring that high quality records are produced as an output of the production processes and inspections Your skills and experiences: Essential: HND/ equivalent qualification or experience within Engineering/Manufacturing Understanding of ISO 9001/90001 A good working knowledge of Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma/ First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIR) Previous experience leading and managing others Previous experience in a Supplier Assurance Quality Software role Desirable: Understanding of Software: AQAP 2210, Ticket, Ticket, CMMI Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Product Assurance team: As a member of the Product Assurance team, and specialised in the methods of identifying, measuring and ultimately assuring software as this is especially important within the supplier assurance space you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, SQA sections, the projects team, the supply chain, and engineering. You will be required to use a company car frequently, with opportunities for overtime and additional training or qualifications such as PCN, NACE, ICORR, and others.
